Why did F.C. United get started and what is its history?

The F.C. United Homeschool Soccer program was started in 2004 as a way to offer a great soccer experience for homeschool families looking for a healthy environment that was competitive yet friendly, more professional yet fun, and which would work for the beginning soccer player to the advanced player.   We have also  placed a strong emphasis on our Christian values, sportsmanship, respect, commitment and teamwork from the very beginning.

The first year we had approximately 40 kids come out and participate and we now have our first F.C. United U-14 Indoor Soccer Team.  We have had a great interest and are continually trying to grow and develop new teams.  If you are interested in helping as a coach, assistant coach, or administrator we’d love to hear from you so we can make having new teams a reality.

What is the F.C. United Soccer Team about?

Our goal is building homeschool soccer teams that honor God and whose focus is more on teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect than winning trophies and medals.   Yes, we do want to compete with excellence and win against great teams across the state but not at the expense of giving up something that is more valuable; our testimony and our values.

Simply stated, everything we do as a team and at F.C. United is for the glory of God.

Who can tryout and play for F.C. United Soccer?

This will vary on the team and other circumstances.

Currently we allow players who are homeschooled and over the age of 10 years old to participate.  We also allow students who are attending private or public schools to tryout as long as their school does not provide a soccer team.

All players and their families must agree to our values and expectations to play for F.C. United soccer teams.
